Tunto LED 8 PowerKiss Desk Lamp Can Wirelessly Charge Your Gadgets

Who would have thought that an ultra-cool LED lamp that features a wireless inductive charging surface mashed into one uber modern piece of technological lightpiece would cost upwards of $1400? The Tunto LED 8 PowerKiss table lamp is far from my budget for a desk lamp, but the things that I would do to own one... Its got an array of 9 bright LED lights for a total brightness output of 870 lumens hidden inside an ultra-thin piece of brilliantly finished wood of your choosing that is bent into its minimalist and Finnish designed shape. What's more is that the Tunto LED 8 PowerKiss lamp features touch-sensitive buttons for adjusting the light intensity and of course power on/off. What you won't be getting are ambient light sensors that will automatically adjust the light for you.

The lamp was designed by an award-winning design brand called Tunto with help of wireless charging technology made by PowerKiss. If your device doesn't support wireless charging, you've got to plug in a PowerKiss Ring adapter which will then let you wirelessly charge your device when set on top of the lamp's wooden base. PowerKiss' wireless technology does support the Qi standard, but the company doesn't offer any Apple Lightning adapters yet as one could also tell by the iPhone 4S being charged in the photo above. It's a beautiful piece nonetheless. And if you could live without the wireless charging feature, you'll be saving a whole lot of cash going with one of Tunto's smaller LED1 models that start at $660, and are also offered in multiple vibrant colors.

Bitplay Transforms Your iPhone Into A Camera

There are a plethora of iPhone cases out in the market right now, each with its own unique functionality or appearance to catch your attention. Bitplay will certainly catch your attention. The creators at Bitplay decided to emphasize the new 8MP camera in the iPhone 4S with their new Bitplay SNAP! What better way to do that than to create a case that turns your iPhone into an actual camera? It even has a shutter button that takes advantage of the iOS’s volume-up bottom functionality. This unique case will catch anybody’s attention with its flashy design.

An iPhone case should be able to express its user’s personality and be one of a kind, rather than be dull and boring like the typical cases we see people wrapping their gorgeous iPhones in. If you are looking for a fun case to show off to your friends, you can head over to Bitplay’s website for more information.

iPhone 5 Physical Mockup Is Beautiful

The alleged iPhone 5 is starting to take shape after case leaks suggested a redesigned body with iPad 2-like characteristics. Until now we've seen countless renders of how the iPhone 5 will supposedly look like, but now an actual physical mockup of an iPhone 5 was made based on recent case leaks and hardware components.

Based on CAD designs, hardware components, several leaked hints, cases and recent, believable mockups we created a three-dimensional computer model. This virtual model was then used to build a very detailed, true prototype that you can hold in your own two hands.

The process to create this prototype is the same that’s used to create the iPad. The back was machined from a sold block of aluminium, which was later treated with glass pearls to get the same slightly rough touch that we already know from the iPad.

iPhone 5 mockup on the right

We've seen exact physical mockups of the iPad 2 week before it was released that have proven to be on point thanks to various case leaks of the iPad 2. This iPhone 5 mockup could really be what Apple has up its sleeve for when it will announce the next new iPhone on October 4.

Purported iPhone 5 Case VS. iPhone 4, Big Difference

As we reported in these past few weeks of new cases suggesting a drastically redesigned iPhone 5, more details have now surfaced showing exactly how big of a change there is between the redesigned iPhone 5 against the current iPhone 4. By the looks of it, the purported iPhone 5 case above points to a wider and slightly longer iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4G-like form factor with a relocated silent switch.

We could be totally off the guessing game though. This case might even suggest a newly redesigned iPod Touch 5G with a large screen while keeping its steep contoured design. It would make sense for Apple to enlarge the screen size of their beloved portable gaming device. I don't feel like ditching the blocky design of the iPhone 4 for the more iPod Touch 4G-like design makes sense because of how less comfortable it is to hold. You can see a lot more comparisson photos over at Macitynet.

Could This Be The iPhone 5's Design?

Rumors are getting stronger day by day as we near the official announcement of the iPhone 5 from Apple. In the meantime, a Chinese iPhone 5 clone has surfaced and it's believed to be true to what the iPhone 5 will look like when it'll be released. We've seen an identical iPad 2 clone that was created by some Chinese company that turned out to be near identical to what the iPad 2 is today. So there's a major chance that what we're seeing here could in fact be what the iPhone 5 will look like.

The iPhone 5 clone suggests that the iPhone 5 will go back to its roots with a more tapered all around front and back redesign and a thinner form factor than the iPhone 4. Of course this iPhone 5 clone can only help us imagine what Apple's next iPhone could look like, and it's just a matter of time until our imagination will finally get to rest once the real deal reveals itself. Head on over to M.I.C Gadget for a their review of the iPhone 5 clone and a whole bunch of photos. Or jump after the break for a video of this thing in action. Oh China, what will they knockoff next?

This Nespresso Machine Should Come To Life

Every geek needs some source of power, whether you rely on coffee or sugary energy drinks, you can't help but not fall in love with this Nespresso, capsule coffee machine designed by Tali Shilo. Sadly, it's just a concept for now until Nespresso themselves take notice of this brilliance. Nespresso machines are quite easy to operate and most of the new designed that have come out aren't half bad, but this concept takes it one step further in its simple and straightforward lines. I wouldn't mind a microscope-like machine injected coffee into my cup every morning. I'll take one in blue please.

i-Handbag Cradles Your iPhone 4 With Credit Cards

Handbags just got a whole new meaning. A design firm called Nothing Design Group have designed a handbag concept as a carrying case for the iPhone 4 as well as other popular smartphones for the ladies. It's dubbed the i_Handbag, and it can hold your ID card and all of your credit cards to hopefully help you get thru that shopping day with ease. The i-Handbag has all the necessary cutouts so that you will never have to remove your phone from it. Now you can carry your iPhone 4 in a chic purse/case hybrid like a lady boss. Well, that all depends if the i-Handbag concept turns into a reality. I've got a strong feeling it will soon enough.
