Vaja Nuova Pelle Slim Leather iPhone 5 Cover Case

Vaja introduced its new Nuova Pelle, a beautiful minimalist cover-like case for the iPhone 5 similar to Twelve South's SurfacePad, albeit superior in function. The Nuova Pelle is an ultra-slim, seamless and hand-stitched one-piece cover made out of luxurious Argentinian leather that protects the iPhone 5 by wrapping around it and sticking to its back using a special removable/reusable adhesive - whilst offering minimal protection. Unlike Twelve South's SurfacePad, Vaja's Nuova Pelle features a magnetic closure system to keep the front cover at bay. Yes!

The Nuova Pelle is unique in that its sleek, minimal design incorporates a single, seamless piece of full-grain, vegetable-tanned Bridge Leather. Intricate design details like a hand-stitched, finished edge, and a proprietary magnetic closure system further set the Nuova Pelle apart from the competition. At less than 2.5MM thick, the Nuova Pelle offers full back and front screen protection, while adding virtually no dimension or weight to the overall smartphone.

Vaja is known for its craftsmanship and premium leather. Its first ever minimalist iPhone 5 cover case is an excellent upscale alternative to the SurfacePad if you're someone that is looking for the best quality leather and a magnetic closure. It doesn't feature a built-in stand however which the SurfacePad boasts. The Nuova Pelle is available right now in 6 colors made with Vaja's Floater leather. You'll be paying a premium for it too, at $80. Video awaits down below!

SurfacePad, A Razer-Thin Luxurious iPhone 5 Leather Cover

Twelve South's new SurfacePad for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/S is the company's second incredibly innovative protective handset cover designed as a wafer-thin and lightweight luxurious folio cover that's 1.7mm thick. The SurfacePad wraps around the iPhone à la Smart Cover - keeping it protected from the simple things in life with a minimalist approach. The SurfacePad's low-profile design extenuates the iPhone 5 by covering up less. It adheres to the back of the iPhone using a special adhesive that's strong yet durable enough to allow for numerous re-applications and uses without leaving residue behind.

Twelve South's SurfacePad cover case is made from genuine full-grain Napa leather, and can fold up into a hands-free stand thanks to the built-in stand sewn into the back cover. It also features a rear camera cutout and soft microfiber front cover lining. The SurfacePad for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/S is now available in red, white and black for $35.

Spigen Ultra Flip iPhone 5 Case, The Samsung Flip Cover Clone

Admit it, Samsung's Flip Cover for its Galaxy S3 and Note 2 devices is a pretty neat accessory. Feeling left out because Apple hasn't released any official cases for the iPhone 5? Well now's your chance to get in on the flip cover action with Spigen's new Ultra Flip for the iPhone 5. Much like Samsung's Flip Cover, the Ultra Flip is a slim folio flip-style case with a protective, hard polycarboate snap-on back case that's coated with a metallic finish to blend in with the aluminum look of the iPhone 5. It has a flip cover attached to it made with a "luxurious" faux textured leather that keeps your iPhone 5's screen protected from scratches and grime while not in use. There's also an earpiece cutout so you can talk on the phone while the cover is flipped closed.

The interior holds one credit card or any type of card for that matter. The flip cover is lined using a soft microfiber chamude material to keep the screen nice and clean. And like Samsung's version, Spigen's Ultra Flip case uses no magnets to keep its screen cover down, unfortunately. Spigen's iPhone 5 Ultra Flip case is coming soon with no projected price, but we're betting it'll cost you around $35.

Update: It's now available for $38.
