Apple iPad Air Smart Case Review

With the release of the redesigned iPad Air, Apple has also made sure to design two new official accessories for the slimmer and narrower tablet. And like before, Apple has released a redesigned and enhanced Smart Case follow-up along with an iPad mini-inspired Smart Cover made to the iPad Air industrial design specifications. Sadly though, Apple hasn't learned anything from Microsoft's brilliant keyboard cover ideas this time like we had hoped it would, and instead of creating some refreshing new offerings, it has brought back the same old Smart Case and Smart Cover accessories albeit with somewhat negligible improvements compared to earlier iterations.

Today we're going to cover Apple's Smart Case for the iPad Air which is also out for the original and Retina iPad mini. It's Apple's new leather folio-style case with an unsightly price and predictable set of features. Should you get one, or would you be better off with some third party equivalent? You're one click, and a few scrolls away from finding out!

Apple iPad Air Review

It has arrived, Apple's fifth-generation iPad Air has not only been given a new light-sounding name but also an agile redesign that replaces the original bulky picture frame-like bezel design we are all familiar with ever since the inception of the first iPad, and those palm-digging tapered edges for a more utilitarian design. It weighs a single pound (0.45kg) and is 20% slimmer than its predecessor, comes in the new Space Gray color replacing the darker slate black supposedly due to enhanced exterior finish durability, and it's the best and most powerful 9.7-inch iPad the fruity company has ever made. But is that really a surprise? By now you must know everything there is to know about the iPad Air including Apple's refreshing new iOS 7. So here's our Lightning Review of the $499 16GB iPad Air model in Space Gray.

Apple Official iPhone 5c Case Review

They've been called many things, the "hon" case, the Crocs case, Connect 4, Swiss cheese, cheese grader, sloppy, ugly, poorly designed and the criticism goes on...and on. Apple's official case for the iPhone 5C is many things, but bad isn't one of them. Apple works in mysterious ways sometimes, and its $29 iPhone 5C Case is a case in point. The silicone rubber case comes in a decent selection of colorful options that either match the iPhone 5C's glossed-up vibrant designs when desired, or add a touch of eye-catching two-tone contrast when two colors from opposite sides are mixed, creating what Apple markets as 30 fun multi-color possibilities. We played it safe and have opted for the most contemporary white and black-colored iPhone 5C Case cases to test out Apple's brand new official accessories on the most color iPhone ever made. Here's what we really think about about Apple's officially contentious polka-dotted case for the iPhone 5C.

Esoterism Moat 4 Aluminum Bumper Case for iPhone 4S Review

There are many fantastic cases that protect your iPhone from dents and scratches, but a major flaw with most of those cases is the fact that they engulf your beautiful device in some form of material that detracts from the very reason why the iPhone caught your attention in the first place -- the aesthetics. Esoterism's Moat 4 brings protection in the form of an aluminum casing that shows off the front and back of the glorious mobile device while protecting it from any mishaps throughout the day. Check out the whole review after the cut!

Apple Smart Case for iPad Review

It only took Apple more than a year, but it finally decided to come out with a proper protection solution for both of its iPad 2 and iPad 3rd Gen wonder tablets. It's called the Smart Case, Apple's latest and greatest iPad accessory. Apple did pretty well when it released the iPad Case for the original iPad, yet failed with its more magical Smart Cover that debuted alongside the iPad 2 which offered lackluster protection and iffy functionality.

Come 2012, the Smart Case picks off where the Smart Cover left off offering front to back protection just as we all complained for. The question is, is your money best spent on Apple's third attempt at satisfying iPad users with the Smart Case? There's only one way to find out! Our full detailed review is after the cut.

iPhone 4S 8MP Camera Review

The iPhone 4S with its new and highly regarded backside-illuminated 8-megapixel camera is a powerful piece of technology. Apple has improved the speed of the shutter and the tap-to-focus. It takes seconds to snap a beautiful and crisp photo! Using the tap to focus feature becomes very useful to get the shallow depth of field effect. It'll not match your DSLR but it's quite impressive for a smart phone camera. In some of the images below, you will notice different focus points. Apple went ahead and added the grid, which lets you compose better aligned shots. We've got full 1080p videos and an un-retouched photo gallery testing the iPhone 4S' well equipped back shooter waiting for you right after the break!
