Dec 30, 2010 at 8:51PM SwitchEasy's Vulcan case for the iPad is made out of a Hydro Polymere material, very much like a TPU material except SwitchEasy's Hydro Polymer Vulcan case is scratch resistant. Cases with such glossy finishes always get scratched up in daily use and is just doesn't look good. I decided to test out SwitchEasy's claims on the Hydro Polymer material of course in the full review right after the break.

Screen protectors seem like a dime a dozen nowadays, and with so many to choose from, which one is the best? Even though I rarely use screen protectors, SwitchEasy's new Pure+ line of screen protectors look like they could very well be the best screen protectors I have ever purchased. Catch the full review of the SwitchEasy Pure Anti-Reflect+ for the iPhone 4 after the break.

SwitchEasy's Reptile case for the iPad has a distinctive reptile look with it's Crocodile textured back. The Reptile case for the iPad isn't made for everyone obviously, but more for those who seek this very specific look and feel for their iPad. As you would expect from SwitchEasy the Reptile looks and feels fantastic with some extra goodies included.
The Reptile is a two piece case featuring a semi-flexible material back part (it feels a bit harder than TPU) and a polycarbonate frame that fully covers and snaps onto the rest of the case and iPad, SwitchEasy calls it the UlrtaFrame. Installing the Reptile onto the iPad is fairly easy but can take you some time getting both parts to completely sit flush together. Iv'e had some trouble getting the two parts to sit flush at some points and while everything is securely in place, I think the two parts of the case should always sit flush together without any visible gaps.

The SwitchEasy Capsule Rebel case for the iPhone 4 is one of the meanest looking cases you will ever come across. You might be familiar with SwitchEasy's Capsule Rebel series for past generations of the iPhone, these cases have always been somewhat mean looking and very unique as well. The CapsuleRebel for the iPhone 4 brings back the familiar looks of the series with a slightly redesigned spine that is made from a very hard and sturdy polycarbonate which feels very tough, SwitchEasy calls it the "UltraFrame". More after the break.

The SwitchEasy TRIM case for iPhone 4 is one pretty unique case, nothing too surprising coming from SwitchEasy that is known for their very unique case designs. The TRIM does no disappoint in both it's design and quality. Of course some may not fancy the TRIM's look and feel but I can assure you that it is a great protective case for the iPhone 4. You can say that the TRIM is a bit of a hybrid case because it is made out of two different materials, a semi-transparent hard polycarbonate plastic back and a semi-soft frame which feels like a TPU material but I'm not sure.

This semi-soft frame feels a bit like glossy rubber and because of how it's designed (which reminds me of an accordion) it provides you with excellent grip. Your fingers have such good grip because they get in between the grooves on the sides which may be a bit sharp to those who are very sensitive, but nothing to worry about really. These grooves also provide excellent shock and bump protection to your iPhone 4.

The NUDE by SwitchEasy is an ultra thin case that provides protection for the back of your iPad without adding any bulk what so ever. The NUDE is only 1mm in thickness and it really lets you enjoy your iPad as if it was naked. This is a high quality back cover without any sharp corners or edges, it's cut perfectly to fit the iPad. You've got easy access to your buttons, dock and orientation lock switch. Even the speakers cutouts are precisely cut. The NUDE provides great protection against any harmful scratches or dents being made to your iPad's delicate aluminum. Your iPad's back is fully covered by the NUDE's hard polycarbonate as well as all around the iPad's sides. The only thing the NUDE will no protect is your iPad's front screen. There is not lip over the bezel so you need to take note of that. While the NUDE is mostly a back cover case for the iPad, it is highly recommended. The neat thing about this clear version of the NUDE is that you can have a skin like the GelaSkins installed on your iPad's back side, and showcase it off.

SwitchEasy Colors for the iPhone 4 is a very simple silicone case with a unique home button add-on. The first thing you will notice straight away on the Colors case is this very delicious looking home button. It's raised up and colors slightly different from the actually case coloring and it's pretty shiny unlike the matte silicone texture of the case itself. This jelly-like looking home button is very responsive once you press it but it doesn't give you much feedback, however it is still very fun to press! The Colors silicone is very grippy and feels great in the hand, it also seems to be a high quality material. I was surprised to find out that the Colors attracted little to no lint, I would think that the black color will show off lint a little more. The overall fitting is tight and form fitting, but I should note that the sides of the case will eventually begin to expand outwards and that might effect the overall fitness. Currently the Colors case is holding up great and my fingers do not peel off the side rims outward.
The Colors offers great protection but minimal drop protection due to it's non-bulkiness design and pretty thin silicone. With the Colors, SwitchEasy provides you with matching port covers to protects your headphone jack and Dock Connector ports from getting any dust and dirt inside them, as well as water. I find these port protectors to be very useful as they blend in seamlessly with the case. Cutouts for the camera and flash are perfect and wide and so is the cutout for the silent switch. While all the buttons are covered up, they stay very responsive and easy to press. Also, the Colors come with two clear screen protectors which fit perfectly and even have a cutout for the front facing camera. The Colors cases are available in 9 colors and come with X2 clear screen protects, X2 headphone port cover and X2 Dock Connector port cover. Price $14.99.

Note: I have experienced issues while using the camera flash in low light condition with this Lime Colors case which will cause a yellowish glow in your photos due to the light reflecting off the case. This isn't an issue with the Stealth black Colors case. I cannot comment on the rest of the Colors case colors.
