Over the years we have extensively reviewed bumper cases machined out of aluminum, more than most blogs could brag about. So we know a thing or two about what makes a winning iPhone bumper case that is made out of a premium metal. If there is one thing that matters when it comes to aluminum cases it's design. Looks are the most important features when protection is thought of as a side dish. This isn't your $20 -$30 plastic case you'd purchase depending on the level of protection you're looking for.

Designed By M recently went up on Kickstarter with its version of what a minimalist aluminum bumper should be like, and as a result the AL13 aluminum iPhone 5 bumper case was a proven as a successful proof of concept people were willing to spend $80 on. We've been putting the AL13 thru our usual thorough testing just for you.
We have always been big fans of aluminum cases ever since the iPhone 4 era, especially bumper style cases. But sometimes the superior designs can never make up for the dismal drop in cellular service most cases delivered. Signal loss has always been a Debbie Downer when it comes to these high quality looking cases. Aluminum bumpers such as the Draco 5 and even the Sector 5 while stunning looking, usually delivered some level of signal loss - some worse than others. Either this occurred or the iPhone couldn't decide if it wanted to stay on 4G or LTE, which in turn would deplete the iPhone's battery.

When it comes to battery-boosting cases for the iPhone we all know they are far from perfect and most of the time, too bulky. The iPhone battery has always been a concern for most people so companies are always looking at new ideas to create that perfect battery packed case. Well PowerSkin is at it again with its new PowerSkin battery case made for the iPhone 5. So what separates this from any other battery case for the iPhone? This sleek bad boy sports a one-piece silicone design instead of the rock solid slider style cases such as Mophie's Juice Pack Helium and Juice Pack Air iPhone 5 battery cases. So is the PowerSkin worth the $79.99 price tag and more importantly is it a reliable source of power for those road trips?
Fitbit is a long-time and sought-after player in the world of tiny, inconspicuous fitness tracking gadgets that help people who want to stay fit and healthy keep track of their daily progress and achievements met by setting certain goals. Up until now, Fitbit was known for its clothing clip-on monitors, but with companies like Jawbone around innovating the way we were these fitness monitors, it isn't a secrete Fitbit wanted a piece of Jawbone's Up pie which in a way managed to steal Fitbit's thunder for a while. Fitbit's new Flex is a iOS and Android-compatible wireless fitness wristband tracker, an Up rival with a favorable interchangeable design.
Desmay made a name for itself when it released the Slight series of ultra-slim cases. Desmay's iPhone 5 cases are highly regarded under the minimalist-style case sector. The latest case to come from Desmay is the New Slight 5, an iPhone 5 case so slim it requires a delicate touch. Calling this 0.35mm thick case slim is wrong. It's insanely thin is what it actually is. Desmay is so thrilled about it that it is calling it the world's thinnest and lightest case, thin and light it is, but it isn't the only case around with such prowess based on our recent Gadgetmac Guide where we hunted down and listed 15 of our favorite top slim iPhone 5 cases.
The iPad is commonly used as a laptop replacement.
