iOS 7: What It Might Look Like

Do you smell that? It's the smell of a new iOS brewing. Now that Jony Ive is in charged of redesigning iPhone's OS interface, rumors spread that Apple's upcoming iOS 7 will feature Ive's brilliance in design and of a revamped 'very flat' user interface free of gloss and those iconic rounded corners. All we have now are concepts of what we expect out of this flat new design, and this particular iOS 7 concept made by Simply Zesty is breathtakingly beautiful. Slick app animation, a clean fresh look with an informative lock screen and Notification Center, Android-inspired widgets and a clean interface partly borrowed from Windows Phone 8. It's all there, and it feels right.

This vision for what iOS 7 could be like we think is stunning enough to land its designer a dream job at Apple HQ. We've seen it happen in the past. Let's say no more to leather and wood trim, here's to a truly up-to-date iOS! Head past the break to see this iOS 7 concept in action.

Iconic Disc Overwrites The Glowing Apple Logo Behind Your MacBook

Here's something just about every MacBook user thought about in some way or another. Apple's signature glowing branding has ironically turned into a new platform for personalization as well as shameless re-branding. The Kickstarter product in question is called the Iconic Disc, which lets you easily customize that glowing Apple logo on the back of virtually any MacBook using a beautifully designed aluminum ring that magnetically fits over the Apple logo using harmless neodymium magnets, and with its clear acrylic lens, will essentially let you frame a personalized logo or any other graphic for that matter like the one above - which will of course glow instead of the Apple logo. The possibilities are endless. And all while the Iconic Disc beautifully matches with the bead-blasted aluminum finish of Apple's MacBooks.

Get ready for Battlefield 4! EA officially announced pre-orders for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game today along with a premium expansion pack included for a limited time. Rather than revealing just a trailer, EA and DICE did better than that - they've released a 17 minute-long gameplay footage of the single player campaign played using the PC version of the game. Battlefield 4 is even more intense and realistic this time around as to be expected, and the gameplay video below will blow your mind. A public beta of the game will be released as promised a full month before the official December 31 release.

Rollo Collar Integrates The Leash Into One Modern Collar

Meet the Rollo Collar, an uber ingenious gadget that'll make you pull money out of your wallet and throw it at your screen. What is it you ask? The Rollo Collar is a svelte dog collar with a built-in retractable leash. It's more of a rubberized watch band for your dog than an ordinary collar though. It's so good looking it makes me want to be a dog just so I can wear one myself. Hey, if you're kinky enough, you could. We won't tell your neighbors. I personally don't own a dog, but this has got to be one of the most innovative ideas we've seen in a while that's so well designed it could have been turned into a smart watch or one of them fitness tracking monitors.

The Rollo Collar is not a concept, it's a full functioning product designed to be worn as an everyday collar until it's time for a walk in the park. You'd then grab onto the magnetically clinged handle, and the durable nylon corded leash automatically retracts from within its collar housing mechanism. It's that intuitive. The leash can extend up to 4.5 feet and features a length locking mechanism. The idea is to simplify your daily routine of having to use two separate detachable accessories, into one seamless gear that's always there when you need it. On your dog that is.

The World Of Customization: Redesign Your Mac With ColorWare

Sure Apple's silverly aluminum Macs and peripherals have a unique charm you can't argue look bad. But you could also argue they're just about as boring as a refrigerator once you let your imagination run wild. With no thanks to Apple, you can create your own one-of-a-kind MacBook and even Mac mini using a service like ColorWare, the only service we know of that let's you fully color and spec-customize any one of Apple's current MacBook lineup using professional techniques used in the auto industry involving a proprietary 2X clear coating that is impervious to UV ray damage, minor scratches and water.

ColorWare was once a service that would let anyone send in their existing device whether it would be a portable Mac, a pair of headphones, an iPad or iPod - and you'd be able to get it back fully tricked out from the ground up with your custom paint job you've picked out before shipping in your device. These days ColorWare is doing things a little different. The company is acting as a reseller for the most popular gadgets while you've got the ability to pick out a product, customize the way it looks using a slew of color options with either glossy or matte finishes - and finally you're also able to upgrade any current generation Mac mini or MacBook with improved specs like you would thru Apple's online ordering system. From there, the wait for the process begins until the finished product finally arrives at your doorstep the way you truly wanted.

ColorWare takes us behind the scenes for the first time where it reveals its intriguingly painstaking step by step procedure at how its laboratory mixed with a full fledged spray paint facility pimps out someone's MacBook Pro. Every little component is stripped away including left over glue until nothing but the bare aluminum unibody is left to ensure a clean and professional paint job similar to how cars are sprayed and detailed. Each device is disassembled and then put back together by a technician like it was done by iFixit. This way, ColorWare lets you pick out an individual color for just about every detail including the glass trackpad, lid hinge and Apple logo. Sadly, the keyboard is the only part on a Mac that isn't customizable most likely due to the complex laser etched keys.

Alphyn's Smart Jeggings Let Your Carry Your Smartphone On Your Leg

Men love jeggings as much as women love wearing them. But there's one problem with that. Where on earth are you going to slip your smartphone? Fortunately, Alphyn's Valencia jeggings, which the company unveild at CES 2013 - have a built-in Wearcom iPhone pocket located on the thigh that features a clear touch-thru polymer screen in case you're sitting down and want to start texting without removing your phone out of your pocket. The pocket is large enough to fit an iPhone 5 or other devices that are a tad larger like the Galaxy S3. But if you've got a big ass phablet like the Galaxy Note 2, then you'll just have to let a friend carry it for you.

Your iPhone will be secured with a Velcro flap while a cable hole lets you route your headphones thru, that is if you've got headphones with a cable long enough to reach. The Valencia's Wearcom smartphone pocket is concealed under a zippered piece of material based on the jeggings' model so that you won't look like a total geek with a fashionable sense for tech style.

Sony To Provide 4K Streaming Content

Along with Sony's latest 4K OLED TV announcement, we can expect to see the very first 4K video distribution service from them as well. This has been a prominent issue for early adopters who are concerned with how much actual content will take advantage of the 4K resolution.

Think of it as a Netflix for 4K content. This will help sell and promote the 4K market that Sony is trying to create. While this is a dandy idea, take a second and think about your Internet connection. As you can imagine, High Definition that go as high as 4K may not play too nicely with your bandwidth. It is still nonetheless a push from Sony that we will see within the near future. There has yet to be anymore details from Sony but we expect a launch in the US sometime in the summer.
