Spar Intros Zephyr Bluetooth Wireless Speakers That Charge Gadgets

A brand new company called Spar is getting ready to release some juicy wireless speakers out into the wild that not only play your tunes wirelessly over Bluetooth, but also pack a built-in rechargeable battery which acts as a battery backup charger that lets you charge any device via USB. Spar's Zephyr wireless speakers comes in three models that feature speakerphone functionality, battery backup charging features and a 3.5mm audio input. The high-end Zephyr 550 features an aluminum enclosure, two custom drivers for room filling studio quality sound and a 3000mAh rechargeable battery for $159.99. The Zephyr 500 has a soft-touch rubber coated plastic enclosure and also features two custom drivers but with a 1500mAh rechargeable battery for $129.99.

Spar's Zephyr 300 wireless speaker has a pocket-sized design and is more affordable at $99.99, and features a soft-touch rubber coated plastic enclosure with an 800mAh rechargeable battery. All three models are now available to pre-order and will ship in mid-December.

Yamaha Pumps Out PDX-11 Rugged Portable Speaker

Yahama is bringing back and redefining the boombox with its new PDX-11 portable speaker for iPhone and iPod. Designed to have an octagon shaped body for ruggedness and stability, the PDX-11 features a top charging dock with volume-only controls and a metal carrying handle. Powering the PDX-11 is a two-way speaker system with a single four-inch cone woofer and a dedicated tweeter said to deliver strong bass response, clear highs and stunning mids. Yamaha's PDX-11 portable speaker can be powered using six AA batteries or by using an AC power adapter. It's available right now in four colors for $99.95.

AppleCase+ Covers iPhone Accidental Damage

Apple's latest and greatest protection plan, AppleCare+, will cover your iPhone for any accidental damage that might be caused like water damage and even if you managed to break your iPhone into a few pieces, you're covered. Some might say its the pefrect insurance plan for those who hate protective cases. There is a catch though, you can only use AppleCare+ for up to 2 horrific accidents and for every accidental damage caused, you will need to cough up an extra $49. Of course the usual is included like free phone support and hardware repair coverage and extends your 1-year warranty by 2 years. AppleCare+ is now available for all iPhone models while sill under the first year of warranty.

Apple Officially Announces iPhone Event October 4th

It's official, Apple wants to talk iPhone with all of us on October 4th. Apple has sent out invites today, and will be holding a press event at their own turf on Tuesday to reveal the next generation iPhone. We're one step closer to confirm and bust all of this year's iPhone rumors. Until then, let's hope for an all-new and exciting iPhone 5.
